How can I search for data in the request/response header or body from traces?

To search for data in the header and body of the calls, you can use General Trace and its search feature.

For more information, refer to the documentation on Calls Index.

The remaining content on this page is obsolete.

Before

When Trace and Health was in the left menu of the API Platform, you had a custom search feature available from the [CUSTOM] tab of General Trace.

To use it, you needed to know to write queries using the Lucene syntax.

Now

Simply fill in one or more fields with the desired filters in Log Searching.

To search for existing terms in the request/response header or body within Trace, use the filter Body.

In the list of resulting logs you will find the most relevant information for each record.

For more details, click the respective row in the [BODY] column. A modal screen will open with the content of the body of that record.

If a trace-id field is associated with the record, you can click the button button to open details, which appears to the right of the line — hover over the line to see the button.

When you click button to open details, you will be directed to Analytics' General Trace. You will then see the call details already filtered by that trace-id.
