Cache Control

On the Cache Control page, you can manage the cache provisioned for your API Platform, allocating space for each of your environments.

Earlier versions of the documentation stated the cache volume as 500 MB, but this may vary depending on the commercial agreement. If you wish to verify or increase your cache volume, get in touch with your Account Manager.

The cache control screen is located within the Admin Settings option of the main menu.

Creating a cache

To create a new cache, click + with the description Add new definitions.

A window will appear with the following fields:

  • Environment: in this field the user needs to choose an environment that the cache will be allocated to;

  • Max Usage in MB: in this field the user can choose the volume that will be available for the cache.

In this window, the volume available for the cache will be displayed.

After clicking SAVE, the new cache definition will appear in the list of caches.

The system will not allow you to allocate the total amount of cache provisioned, since 10% is reserved for the default cache.

Cache Settings

In the list of caches you can find the following information: Enviroment, Current Usage/Max and Actions;

  • Environment: this column tells you the environment that the given cache is allocated to;

  • Current Usage/Max: this column specifies the volume used and the maximum volume allocated to the cache;

  • Actions: in this column you can clear, edit and delete the caches listed.

The default environment cache cannot be edited or deleted from the list of caches.

Emptying a cache

Next to each cache listed there is a clear icon (clear) in the Actions column.

After clicking the icon a message will appear to confirm clearing the cache.

To confirm clearing click CLEAR or to cancel click CANCEL.

When clearing the default cache, all the environments will be emptied.

Editing a cache

To edit an existing cache, click the icon (edit) in the Actions column.

A window will appear with the following fields: Environment and Max Usage in MB;

  • Environment*: in this field the user selects an environment in which the cache will be edited;

  • Max Usage in MB*: the user can change the volume allocated to the cache by using the arrows or by entering an amount into the field.

To confirm the edit click on SAVE or to cancel click on CANCEL.

Deleting a cache

To delete a cache, click on the icon (delete) to the right of each cache listed within the Actions column.

After clicking the icon a message will appear to confirm deletion of the cache.

To delete click on DELETE or to cancel click on CANCEL.

To delete a cache it must be empty.
