What’s the difference between a Diagram-type flow and a Source-type flow?

When you click + NEW FLOW on the Integration Flows screen, you have to choose the integration flow’s design type. That will influence directly how you will create it in the next screen.

There are two types of design available:

  • Diagram diagram icon: you will create your integration flows in a low-code environment.

    To do that, you will have the support of triggers, general tools and business connectors.

    Check below the elements of the editing menu on the canvas, where you will find all the tools and connectors you need:

  • Source source icon: you will create your flows via code with Apache Camel components, increasing significantly the number of cases covered by the product.

    Just write or paste the code on the MAIN.YAML board.

You cannot transform a diagram-type flow into a source-type flow, and vice versa.
